SMS Program: StumpFast Quote Updates

StumpFast (stumpfast.com) provides instant photo-based quoting software to stump grinding contractors. Through the StumpFast Quote Updates program we send transactional text messages on behalf of a customer's chosen contractor — quote status updates only, never marketing. This page describes every way a person can opt in, exactly what they see when they do, and how to opt out.

How customers opt in

A homeowner requests a stump grinding quote from their chosen contractor, either on the contractor's public quote page (for example stumpfast.com/for/big-mikes-stump-removal) or via a private quote link the contractor texts or emails them. The quote form asks for their name, then shows the contact screen below. Entering a phone number is optional — email works too — and the SMS consent disclosure appears directly beneath the phone field, before the customer can continue:

This is the opt-in screen exactly as end users see it (the contractor's business name varies by page). No phone number is ever pre-filled, consent is never assumed, and phone numbers are collected only through this form — never purchased, imported, or texted without this disclosure.

How contractors opt in

Enrolling in job-alert texts is entirely optional. Contractors (our business users) get the same alerts — new quote requests, customer acceptances, review alerts — by email at no charge, and can use StumpFast fully without ever providing a phone number. A contractor who wants texts opts in by entering their phone number during account setup at stumpfast.com. The consent disclosure appears directly beneath that phone field before the account is created. This is the field exactly as contractors see it during setup:

📱 How customer updates work

StumpFast keeps your customers posted for you — “got your photos,” “your quote is ready.” Every message goes out in your business's name and points customers to this number, so questions and scheduling come straight to you. You always see every lead's real contact info.

The phone number is optional and never pre-filled — email alerts are the default and texts are opt-in only. Consent is never assumed, and the disclosure states message frequency, that message & data rates may apply, and the STOP and HELP keywords, with links to the Privacy Policy and Terms.

Program terms

Message frequency varies by quote request — typically 1–4 messages per request. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

No mobile information, phone numbers, or messaging consent data are shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
